The experience behind EMP

Global experience.
Practical leadership.

Founder Robert Naumann brings 35+ years of experience across concerts, ice shows, theatre, circus, arena stunt productions and immersive experiences. His background includes 14 years touring with Feld Entertainment, followed by four years in its corporate office overseeing shows, 10 years with Cirque du Soleil and three years leading operations at Jurassic Quest.

Meet Rob ↗

Shows performed in 50+ countries. Teams of 300-plus. Multiple productions moving at once.

For one Cirque du Soleil relocation, Rob moved the show from Perth to Antwerp via Amsterdam. Equipment traveled by truck to Perth’s airport, was transferred onto airline pallets and flown on two 747s, then transferred from the pallets to semi-trucks in Amsterdam for the drive to Antwerp. The team modified the show to fit a European tent three meters smaller in diameter than the Australian tent, meeting the stricter local regulations and touring requirements.

Business operations & complex projects

Entertainment experience.
Business operations.

A touring big top needs site infrastructure, power, water, HVAC, permits and inspections, alongside crews, suppliers and a fixed opening date. Rob’s technical and company management roles brought these responsibilities together. That experience applies to operating a business location, coordinating contractors and preparing a business for daily operations.

Sequence the work

Equipment must arrive before installation; installation and inspections must finish before opening. EMP uses those same scheduling disciplines to coordinate suppliers, contractors and deadlines on business projects.

Coordinate specialists

Touring brings technical departments, local trades, venue teams and authorities onto one site. EMP brings that experience to assigning responsibilities, managing handoffs and resolving conflicts between teams.

Prepare the operating team

A site needs staff, training, maintenance arrangements and clear procedures after it opens. EMP helps put those in place, with budgets and reporting that managers can use day to day.
